Obama did an interview on CNN this week and one of the things he said is rather shocking for a sitting president. Obama said that southern whites see him through a lens of race. It was a backhanded way of calling them racist.
Here’s a transcript via Real Clear Politics:
Obama: Attitudes Of My Presidency Among Whites In Northern States Very Different From Southern States; “I Seem Foreign”
“There are people who dislike me because they think I’m a liberal,” the president told the CNNer. “I think there is a reason why attitudes about my presidency among whites in northern states are very different from whites in southern states.”
“So are there folks who whose primary concern about me has been that I seem foreign, the other? Are those that champion the birther movement feeding off of bias? Absolutely,” Obama said on CNN’s The Legacy of Barack Obama.

Isn’t it interesting how many of the same white people who voted for him in 2008 and 2012 are suddenly racists when they voted for Trump in 2016?
Is there something we’re missing here?
And finally, isn’t it appropriate that this race baiting garbage appeared on CNN?
