Now that these stupid and offensive national anthem protests have become trendy for overpaid athletes and people are tuning out the NFL, team owners are starting to realize their brands are being severely damaged.

Antonio Cromartie of the Indianapolis Colts has apparently been cut from the team for kneeling during the national anthem and raising his fist. Maybe if this had been done weeks ago, the NFL wouldn’t be having this problem.

The Tribunist reports:

NFL Player Cut for National Anthem Protest. Team Owner Says NFL is the “Wrong Venue” for Protesting.

Several NFL players have been the subject of controversy for the better part of the 2016 season when they’ve chosen to sit during the anthem, protesting for oppressed minorities in America. It has become a national conversation with Americans weighing in on both sides of the issue.

Many feel that the NFL has done little to combat this disrespect to the flag and military, but certain owners have reportedly told players they will not sit during the anthem. This hasn’t previously cost anyone their job, until now.

Is Colin Kaepernick next?

We hope so.
