STILL TANKING: Megyn Kelly’s Ratings Hit New Low

Megyn Kelly’s decision to combat President Trump hasn’t worked well for her, and the latest evidence is the continued tanking of her ratings on NBC.

The Hill reports:

Megyn Kelly’s Sunday news magazine this week registered its lowest ratings since its debut on June 4, according to Nielsen Research.

“Sunday Night with Megyn Kelly” drew 3.1 million viewers on Sunday, or half of the 6.2 million viewers it brought in for its premiere, which featured an interview with Russian President Vladimir Putin.

Kelly, 46, was hired by NBC News earlier this year for a reported salary of $17 million annually.

The former attorney-turned-cable-news-star was offered a reported $25 million to stay at Fox News, but jumped to NBC in January. Kelly finished 2016 as the second-highest rated host in cable news behind only the since-ousted Bill O’Reilly, also of Fox News.

Kelly’s Sunday program again lost to repeats of “60 Minutes” on CBS and “America’s Funniest Home Videos” on ABC in both total viewers and the key 18-49 demographic advertisers covet most.

“60 Minutes” tallied 5.9 million viewers to win the 7 p.m. time slot.

Kelly’s Sunday telecast still had the smallest gap with “60 Minutes” since June 18, with the repeat of the CBS news magazine seeing double-digit declines week-to-week, down 22 percent overall from the July 9 telecast.

“Sunday Night with Megyn Kelly” will go on hiatus at the end of the summer to make way for NBC’s top-rated “Sunday Night Football.” The show is slated to return after the Winter Olympics in February.

How many think her failed show will actually be back in February?
