Russian President Vladimir Putin said Friday, the United States must either stop accusing Russia of meddling in its elections or prove it. Presidential spokesman Dmitry Peskov said it was “indecent” of the United States to “groundlessly” accuse Russia of intervention in the US election campaign reported the Russian State news agency Tass.
Putin went on to say, “They should either stop talking about that or produce some proof at last.”
President Barack Obama vowed action against Russia in the light of allegations:
“I think there is no doubt that when any foreign government tries to impact the integrity of our elections that we need to take action and we will at a time and place of our own choosing,”
Though there have been calls on both sides of the aisle for further investigation into Russia’s role in election related hacking, Trump has repeatedly brushed off accusations.
Hackers are everywhere today and they act so delicately that they can leave their mark, or someone else mark, or no mark at all. It is an extremely difficult thing to check, if it’s even possible to check.
In a country like the United States where a person is innocent until proven guilty, the Democrats have rushed to judgement rather quickly without any proof.
