Last week, the new DNC chairman Tom Perez went off in an insane rant during which he claimed Donald Trump didn’t win the election. It was the latest evidence to show that Democrats aren’t living in reality.
Now the Republicans are responding to Perez.
The Daily Mail reports:
GOP calls Tom Perez’s statement that Trump didn’t win the election ‘dangerous’ and ‘unhinged’
The Republican National Committee whacked back at new Democratic National Committee chairman Tom Perez for saying that President Trump ‘didn’t win this election.’
The RNC sent out a statement Sunday morning labeling his comments ‘unhinged.’
‘Chairman Perez’s comments are dangerous and undermine our democratic process,’ said chairwoman Ronna Romney McDaniel. ‘Perhaps Mr. Perez needs a lesson on how the Electoral College works but whether he likes it or not, Donald Trump is our president.’
‘He should be ashamed of himself for insulting the millions of Americans who don’t share his liberal vision for our country,’ she continued. ‘The Democrats are the minority party because of comments like those, and if he thinks this is the way back from the wilderness, he’s sorely mistaken.’
‘Mr. Perez should apologize and Democrats should denounce the rhetoric coming from this new leader of their Party,’ McDaniel added.
On Friday night, Perez worked up a crowd in Newark, New Jersey, unleashing a tirade against the Republican Party.
Democrats need to get a grip on themselves and fast.
They look insane when they deny reality.
