Famous actor, Michael Caine, defended the U.K.’s decision to leave the E.U. which came with the Brexit vote.
“I voted for Brexit,” Caine revealed. “What it is with me, I’d rather be a poor master than a rich servant.”
The veteran actor explained that the Brexit vote “wasn’t about the racism, immigrants or anything, it was about freedom.”
Caine later expressed his confidence that the U.K. would “be alright” once it makes its formal exit from the EU (video available here).
The Academy Award winner revealed in 2009 that he got fed up with the left-of-center Labour Party and voted for the Conservative Party. At the time, he asserted, “We’re in a terrible state whichever way you look at it, socially, financially and politically, so just give the other guy a chance.”

The acting legend spoke about Brexit while promoting his new film, Going In Style.
“Politics is always chaotic.
“In politics you’re always going into areas you’ve never been before, so you’re going to get lost and then you’re going to find your way, and then it’ll be alright.”
Funny how the media doesn’t play up or promote actors that have pro-conservative views!
