House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi (D., Calif.) said on Thursday that the plan to vote on the Republican healthcare bill is a “rookie’s error.”
The Washington Free Beacon reported: During a press conference at the Capitol, Pelosi discussed the plan of Republican leadership to hold a vote on their Obamacare replacement bill on the seventh anniversary of the law’s passing.
“I don’t know if you want to call this on Trump’s part a ‘rookie’s error,’ but you don’t find a day and say, ‘We’re going to pass a bill,'” Pelosi said.
Pelosi repeated that the timing of the vote was a “rookie’s error” on the president’s part before her voice started cracking.
The California Democrat also appeared to take a shot at Trump voters, saying they voted for a president who will take away a program that benefits them.
“More than $600 billion transferred upward at the expense of working families,” Pelosi said. “Ironically, some of these families are people who voted for Trump, like 57 percent of, in some areas, 57 percent of the people voted for Trump are on the Affordable [Care Act].”
Pelosi also claimed during the press briefing that Republicans want to make Americans sick.
“That’s their goal, to make America sick again,” Pelosi said.
The fact that Nancy Pelosi is still the House Minority Leader speaks volumes about the shape the Democratic party is currently in. Really, Nancy Pelosi is the best the Democrats could come up with? Sad.
