Some Democrats Are Saying Who They Want To Replace Al Franken, And It’s Not Good

There is a chance that Al Franken will resign his Senate seat. If that happens, the governor of Minnesota can appoint someone to replace him and it will be another Democrat. Some people on the left are already floating a name.

This is from a far left group called Justice Democrats:

After a disturbing photo was released, Sen. Al Franken admitted to sexually assaulting a female colleague on a 2006 USO Tour overseas. News anchor Leeann Tweeden came forward to tell her story in a blog post detailing how Franken had groped and kissed her without her consent.

It would be profoundly hypocritical for Democrats to stand by Franken in this moment. We can’t tolerate harassment or assault.

We are calling for Franken to resign his seat. In Minnesota, a vacancy would need to be filled by an appointment from Gov. Mark Dayton. After Franken resigns, we are calling on the governor to appoint Keith Ellison as the next U.S. senator from Minnesota.

Keith Ellison? Really?
