The Democrats’ second sham impeachment is over and once again, Donald Trump has triumphed.
Even though a handful of RINOs in the Senate joined the Democrats for this charade, it still wasn’t enough.
The media is going to be very depressed over this.
Trump Acquitted by US Senate; 7 Republicans Join Dems
Donald Trump survived a second impeachment trial Saturday when the U.S. Senate acquitted him on the charge of incitement of insurrection, ending Democratic efforts to hold the former president accountable over the deadly US Capitol riot.
The five-day trial, in which Democratic impeachment managers argued that Trump betrayed his oath of office by urging his supporters to storm Congress in a bid to block certification of the November election, concluded with an insufficient 57-43 majority of senators voting to convict.
It was the most bipartisan impeachment trial vote ever, with seven Republicans breaking ranks to join all 50 Democrats in seeking conviction.
But two-thirds of the chamber, or 67 senators, is necessary to convict, and the Senate ultimately was not willing to punish the former president.
The seven Republicans voting to convict were: Sens. Mitt Romney, R-Utah; Susan Collins, R-Maine; Lisa Murkowski, R-Alaska.; Ben Sasse, R-Neb.; Bill Cassidy, R-La.; Richard Burr, R-N.C.; and Pat Toomey, R-Pa.
And there it is. Game over.
Senate acquits Donald Trump with 7 GOP defections, an outcome everyone knew would happen. The media narrative these past five days has been starkly different than the political verdict, given the two-thirds constiututional requirement

The worst part of this for the Democrats is now their time being able to obsess about Trump is over.
They are screwed.

It looks like the Democrats are going to have to find a new hobby.
