A painting inspired by the Michael Brown shooting and unrest in Ferguson, Missouri depicts police officers as pigs.

But here’s what’s more shocking: this painting will hang in our U.S. Capitol building.

BizPacReview reports:

“The painting was chosen on behalf of Democratic Missouri Congressman Lacy Clay as part of the United States Congressional Art Competition. Pulphus’ artwork won first place in Missouri’s 1st Congressional District, so his painting now hangs in a tunnel between the Capitol building and Longworth House Office Building.

Clay praised the painting as a “colorful landscape of symbolic characters” in a press release.”

While we’ve all heard the infamous Black Lives Matter line “Pigs in a blanket, fry ’em like bacon,” hanging a picture of cops depicted as pigs in the Capitol building takes things to whole new (DISTURBING) level.

Instead of pushing this hateful narrative further, shouldn’t our government be pushing for unity?

It’s time for our leaders to stop vilifying our Men in Blue and start healing the racial divide encouraged by the Obama Administration.
