After Four Years Of ‘RUSSIA!’ AOC Now Wants A Government Commission To Fight Media ‘Disinformation’

For the last four years, Americans have had to listen to the media spread the false story of Trump colluding with Russia to steal the 2016 election.

There are people on CNN and MSNBC such as Rachel Maddow, who made a small fortune pushing the Russia lie night after night. Democrats appeared on their broadcasts and pushed this lie in order to attack and damage Trump.

But now, now… AOC wants a government commission to fight disinformation in media.

The New York Post reports:

AOC says Congress may form commission to ‘rein in’ media after Capitol riot

Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez revealed that Congress is looking into creating an investigative commission to “rein in” the media in the wake of the US Capitol siege.

During a lengthy Instagram Live on Tuesday evening where she revealed that she feared for her life during the siege, the “Squad” member accused the mainstream media of “spewing disinformation” ahead of the deadly riot in which five people died.

“There’s absolutely a commission that’s being discussed but it seems to be more investigating in style rather than truth and reconciliation,” she said.

“I do think that several members of Congress in some of my discussions have brought up media literacy because that is part of what happened here,” Ocasio-Cortez (D-NY) went on.

“We’re going to have to figure out how we rein in our media environment so you can’t just spew disinformation and misinformation,” she said.

This isn’t about fighting misinformation, it’s about silencing political dissent.

AOC wants to make sure that people on the right are not able to do what the left did for the last four years.

It was different when they did it. Anyone who wants to object now needs to just shut up, according to AOC.
