Former Attorney General Matt Whitaker was on FOX News Monday night to talk about the appointment of John Ratcliffe as Trump’s new intelligence director.
At one point he seemed to unwittingly suggest that James Comey is being investigated.

Jumpin’ ju-ju bones, there’s big news in here. Actual Bombshells! For real Tick Tocks and much much more….
Former acting Attorney General Matt Whitaker appeared on Fox News to discuss the replacement of Dan Coats with John Ratcliffe as head of the ODNI, and the current status of AG Bill Barr’s ongoing reviews into prior DOJ and FBI (mis)conduct.
Whitaker posits the placement of Ratcliffe as looking at the aggregate intelligence apparatus and seeing if there “are systemic issues and failures for how the investigations were kicked-off”; and the engagements with other countries (FBI and CIA).
Additionally Whitaker summarizes U.S. Attorney John Durham as focused on the origin of the intelligence operation against candidate Trump and “prosecuting anyone that needs to be prosecuted“. [By the way, that seems to confirm Durham as an official “investigation”, not a “review”.]

Very interesting. It’s also worth pointing out that Whitaker says Ratcliffe is perfect for this job.
From FOX News:
Former Acting AG Whitaker says Rep. Ratcliffe ‘straight out of Central Casting’ for National Intelligence role
Rep. John Ratcliffe, R-Texas, is the right person to be nominated the next director of national intelligence (DNI), according to former acting Attorney General Matthew Whitaker.
Ratcliffe, though currently in Congress, has experience at the Department of Justice and is well-versed in the requirements of the DNI job, Whitaker claimed Monday on “The Story.”
“John and I were U.S. attorneys in the Bush administration,” he said.
“I think he’s perfectly qualified to do this role. I think he’s a smart, talented individual.”
And Trump is certainly happy with the choice…
I am pleased to announce that highly respected Congressman John Ratcliffe of Texas will be nominated by me to be the Director of National Intelligence. A former U.S. Attorney, John will lead and inspire greatness for the Country he loves. Dan Coats, the current Director, will….
