Arizona Governor Race Called For Democrat Who Refused To Debate After Days Of Delayed Vote Counting

The Arizona governor race and FINALLY been called and (surprise!) the Democrat who didn’t really campaign and refused to debate has been declared the winner.

This is awful news and it brings us no pleasure to report it, but you need to know.

There will always be a cloud hanging over the outcome of this election. Many people will never trust the results and the blame for that lies squarely at the feet of the state of Arizona which dragged out the vote counting for days until they finally got the result it appears they wanted.

The Fox News Decision Desk can project that Democratic Secretary of State Katie Hobbs will be the next Governor of Arizona. She defeats GOP candidate and former local news host Kari Lake.

Per Arizona law, the race may go to a recount.

Lake is a former TV news anchor who stepped down last year after 22 years with the Fox affiliate in Phoenix to run for governor. Thanks in part to her strong support for former President Donald Trump and his unproven claims that the 2020 election was “stolen” and rigged,” Trump endorsed and heavily backed Lake as she narrowly won the GOP nomination over a candidate backed by Ducey.

There are so many questions here.

You may recall that the FOX affiliate in Arizona called the race for Hobbs 12 days before the election even happened.

This is not good. This election will be in doubt for millions of Americans and it will not be their fault.
