New pro-Trump group launches $1 million TV ad blitz

The new political nonprofit organization Make America Great moved Wednesday to shore up President Trump’s sagging approval ratings with a $1 million television advertising blitz in 10 states.

Make America Great was founded by Trump ally and wealthy donor Rebekah Mercer, amid frustration that America First Policies, the political nonprofit that was officially sanctioned by the president, was slow to ramp up and help build support for the administration’s agenda.

As first reported by Bloomberg Politics’ Joshua Green, Make America Great is hitting the television airwaves in 10 states Trump won in the 2016 election, plus the Washington, D.C., media market. The group is spending an additional $300,000 on digital advertising.
