Beto O’Rourke And Other Democrats Now Openly Admitting They’re For Open Borders (VIDEO)

They’re not trying to hide it anymore. In addition to being against building a further wall to protect America’s southern border, some of them are now saying they want to tear down existing border barriers. They want open borders. We all knew this but now they’re confirming it.

During a media appearance with MSNBC host Chris Hayes, Beto O’Rourke admitted this when questioned.

NBC News reports:

‘I’d take the wall down,’ says Beto O’Rourke of current border barriers

Beto O’Rourke said he would take down existing walls and fencing at the U.S.-Mexico border if he could.

O’Rourke, a former congressman for El Paso who ran a high-profile challenge against GOP Sen. Ted Cruz of Texas, said in an interview with MSNBC’s Chris Hayes on Thursday, “Absolutely, I’d take the wall down.”

His comment came in response to a question posed on Twitter by Rep. Dan Crenshaw, R-Texas. “If you could snap your fingers and make El Paso’s border wall disappear, would you?”

Crenshaw said in his post that fencing and other border barriers have caused illegal crossings to drop significantly.

But O’Rourke told Hayes the barriers don’t bring Americans greater security.

“Here’s what we know: after the Secure Fence Act, we have built 600 miles of wall and fencing on a 2,000 mile border,” O’Rourke said. “What that has done is not in any demonstrable way made us safer.”

It’s not just Beto who’s saying this. Kirsten Gillibrand said something similar.

The Washington Times reports:

Gillibrand: ‘I could support’ tearing down existing border barriers

Sen. Kirsten Gillibrand said she “could support” Beto O’Rourke’s idea of tearing down existing barriers at the U.S. southern border.

“I could look at it and see which part he means and why and if it makes sense, I could support it,” the New York Democrat and 2020 presidential hopeful told reporters during a campaign stop in Concord, New Hampshire, on Friday.

Mr. O’Rouke, a former congressman from El Paso, Texas, and a potential 2020 candidate, made headlines Thursday after he declared he would support ripping out the existing wall in El Paso and other areas.

Mrs. Gillibrand said she would also get behind such drastic measures if “folks in that part of the country” supported it.

“But, you know, Democrats are not afraid of national security or border security,” she said. “Democrats have funded border security for decades. So it’s not a question of not wanting to keep the country safe.”

Texas Republican Dan Crenshaw had some things to say about this on Twitter:

These Democrats want to be American leaders but they don’t want to protect America. How do they think that’s going to go over with voters in 2020?
