During the last debate, Beto O’Rourke finally came out and said it. Democrats want to confiscate people’s legally owned guns.
The liberal audience erupted in cheers.
The left has been denying this for years, but now the mask is off.
The Washington Free Beacon reports:
Beto Blows Lid Off ‘No One Wants to Take Your Guns’
Democrats and media members have pledged for years some version of “nobody wants to take your guns away” when gun control laws come up for debate.
Former Rep. Beto O’Rourke (D., Texas), in a reversal of a position he held last year, has called for mandatory buybacks of semi-automatic rifles like the AR-15 and AK-47.
If there was any confusion about whether that equaled confiscation, he said, to roars at Thursday night’s Democratic primary debate in Texas, “Hell yes, we’re going to take you’re AR-15, your AK-47.”
Going back to 2012, the Free Beacon found clips of numerous left-leaning figures who promised that such a position wasn’t part of any gun control platform.
Politicians like Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D., Calif.), Sen. Chris Murphy (D., Conn.), former New York City Mayor Michael Bloomberg (D.), California Gov. Gavin Newsom (D.), former Michigan Gov. Jennifer Granholm (D.), former Ohio Gov. John Kasich (R.), Rep. Elijah Cummings (D., Md.), and Rep. Jim Himes (D., Conn.), journalists like Don Lemon, Tamron Hall, Erica Hill, and Ali Velshi, and celebrities like Katy Perry and Sarah Silverman all made similar assertions that if you liked your gun, you could keep your gun.

Now everyone knows where the Democrats really stand.
Even the Associated Press is admitting it:
Coming for your AR-15? O’Rourke scrambles Dems’ gun message
Beto O’Rourke’s “hell yes” moment at the Democrats’ presidential debate is scrambling his party’s message on guns.
The Democrats have long contended their support of gun control laws does not mean they want to take away law-abiding citizens’ firearms. But on Friday, they struggled to square that message with their presidential contender’s full-throated call on national TV for confiscating assault rifles.
“Hell, yes, we’re going to take your AR-15, your AK-47, and we’re not going to allow it to be used against your fellow Americans anymore,” the former Texas congressman declared during Thursday night’s debate…
“I frankly think that that clip will be played for years at Second Amendment rallies with organizations that try to scare people by saying Democrats are coming for your guns,” Sen. Chris Coons of Delaware told CNN Friday. “I don’t think a majority of the Senate or the country is going to embrace mandatory buybacks. We need to focus on what we can get done.”
You own this now, Democrats.
