Day One of the Trump Presidency is off to a huge start!
In addition to withdrawing the United States from the TPP and putting a freeze on Federal hiring, Trump also stopped U.S. taxpayer funding of abortion overseas.
Press Secretary Sean Spicer explained why (via Fox Business):

Sean Spicer: “The president – it’s no secret – has made it very clear, that he’s a pro-life president. He wants to stand up for all Americans, including the unborn. And I think the re-instatement of this policy is not just something that echoes that value, but respects taxpayer funding, as well. It ensures that we’re not just standing up for life – for the life of the unborn – but for also taxpayer funds that are being spent overseas to perform an action that is contrary to the values of this president. And it continues to illustrate not just to the people in this country, but around the world, what a value we place on life.“
