New York Governor Andrew Cuomo is clinging to his political position and refusing to resign, but that could change in the coming days.
Even New York’s Democrat senators Chuck Schumer and Kirsten Gillibrand are now calling on him to step down.
There is going to come a point where Cuomo knows he can no longer effectively govern the state and that time is coming swiftly.
FOX News reports:
New York Sens. Schumer, Gillibrand call for Gov. Cuomo’s resignation
New York Democratic Sens. Kirsten Gillibrand and Chuck Schumer have joined a long list of lawmakers in calling for their state’s governor, Andrew Cuomo, to resign amid mounting allegations of inappropriate conduct.
“Confronting and overcoming the Covid crisis requires sure and steady leadership,” a joint statement read.
“We commend the brave actions of the individuals who have come forward with serious allegations of abuse and misconduct. Due to the multiple, credible sexual harassment and misconduct allegations, it is clear that Governor Cuomo has lost the confidence of his governing partners and the people of New York. Governor Cuomo should resign.”
Schumer, the Senate majority leader, is the highest-ranking Democratic official to call for Cuomo’s resignation. More than half of the 19 members of New York’s House delegation have called for Cuomo’s resignation, and a majority of the state assembly has as well.
Cuomo is just delaying the inevitable at this point.

Now Schumer and Gillibrand have called on Cuomo to resign. That’s in addition to AOC and Nadler. Hard for me to see how Cuomo survives this, notwithstanding his mafia-style bravado. Politically Cuomo will soon be sleeping with the fishes #ResignCuomo

Cuomo has run out of defenders.
He needs to step aside.
