Is it even legal for the movie theater to do this? What would people say if a theater screened a new movie for men only? Feminists would freak out, that’s for sure.

Movie theater hosts women-only ‘Wonder Woman’ screening to raise cash for Planned Parenthood
DC Comics’ Wonder Woman is hitting theaters next week and to commemorate the first live-action superhero film starring a woman since Halle Berry’s Catwoman, the Austin, Texas-based company Alamo Drafthouse is hosting a one-night women-only screening.
In a statement on their website, Alamo Drafthouse wrote, “we’re embracing our girl power and saying ‘No Guys Allowed’ for several special shows at the Alamo Downtown Brooklyn. And when we say ‘Women (and People Who Identify As Women) Only,’ we mean it.”
Men are visibly upset by being shut out from the event and are calling the theater ‘sexist’ among other things. The Alamo Drafthouse was so pleased by the outrage that they said that they “will be expanding this program across the country and inviting women everywhere to join us as we celebrate this iconic superheroine in our theaters.”
The dominating theme of men being excluded from an event misses the fact that Alamo Drafthouse plans on donating all of their proceeds to the abortion provider Planned Parenthood. Of course, this is America, and private companies are allowed to whatever they want with their money.
One last question… If people are willing to do fundraisers like this, why does Planned Parenthood need taxpayer money?
