CNN clearly thinks they’ve caught President Trump in a double standard on DACA, but they don’t get that Trump was consistent: it must be legal, not done by executive order.
In the video below, the CNN host says:
“He has been all over the map in terms of how he feels about these Dreamers and what he thinks their fate should be, so let’s just remind people of the different things that he’s said.”
Then they play an audio clip from 2012 in which Trump asked how you can send people out of the country when they’ve done so well.
The host then says:
“That was before Donald Trump was a politician so that might be the truest indication of how he feels because once he started running he said some different things.”
Then she plays a clip of Trump campaigning and saying that he’ll end Obama’s unconstitutional executive order on DACA. And that’s the whole point that CNN doesn’t seem to get or is intentionally presenting in an unfair and misleading manner.
Watch the video below:
Trump's stance on DACA has changed over the years. @abbydphillip says he's "genuinely conflicted." Do you agree? https://t.co/hHysnh2a8t

The fact is that CNN has a political agenda with conflicts with the President’s agenda. They are presenting a case which supports what they want to happen. That’s not what a news organization is supposed to do.
