CNN Contributor: ‘Make America Great Again’ Means White Nationalism

CNN commentator Marc Lamont Hill said Donald Trump’s campaign slogan, “Make America Great Again,” is code for white nationalism.

“When you say ‘Make America Great Again,’ you conjure up colonial nostalgia and you conjure up moments in history where black people and brown people and women and Jewish people are disenfranchised and marginalized. . . we hear white nationalism.”

“We hear white nationalism when white nationalists are resonating with your message,” Hill said. “We hear white nationalism when David Duke says we’re going to fulfill the agenda of President Trump. We hear white nationalism when you have a message who says Muslims are bad.”
