CNN doesn’t seem to care about the health and well-being of the American people.
When it comes to the Coronavirus, it looks like all they really want to do is try to score cheap anti-Trump points.
Before Trump’s press conference on the subject, CNN’s Brian Stelter criticized Trump for not doing enough.

Then, during Trump’s press conference, CNN cut away from it to air their town hall event with Michael Bloomberg:

This was such an important issue, Brian's network cut out of the press conference and none of his network's leading reporters, including Darcy, Tapper or Acosta tweeted about it.

While many Americans were sitting down to dinner on Wednesday night, President Donald Trump stepped into the White House briefing room to give the country an update on the novel coronavirus and its spread across the globe.
Trump delivered an opening statement and then took questions for almost an hour. And, as he does, the President veered into a wide variety of topics even while stretching the truth to the breaking point.
This is all they care about.
All they do is complain about Trump 24/7. It’s pathetic.
