CNN Panel Disappointed That Average Americans Aren’t Obsessed With Stopping Trump Like Them (VIDEO)

CNN’s Brian Stelter recently had a panel discussion with some so-called political experts to analyze the week’s news. The amazing thing was how disappointed they seem in average Americans who aren’t obsessed with stopping Trump.

Trump Boils Frogs? ‘Reliable Sources’ Panel Thinks People Are Too Dumb to Stop Trump

A weekly theme of CNN’s Reliable Sources is that “democracy is dying in darkness” under Trump. So naturally, host Brian Stelter turned to Washington Post columnist and CNN analyst Catherine Rampell to discuss the so-called “Constitutional crisis.” Host Brian Stelter opened the segment by declaring that “democracy in the United States is being tested” and Stelter asked Rampell to sum up the past week in a headline.

Rampell didn’t choose an objective headline. She chose “the frog has been boiled,” referring to “this old adage that if you put a frog in a pot of water and you slowly raise the temperature, the frog won’t jump out…because they don’t get that they’re about to be boiled.”

Trump is killing the American people….slowly. And they’re as dumb as a frog…

Stelter’s three panelists all shared a disgust with Trump and a serious fear that the American people aren’t equipped to process the information they need to share that disgust.

Jess McIntosh, a Hillary Clinton aide turned CNN commentator, lamented that “Trump is banking that you can’t keep up. I think the, the, the headline from this week is that there were too many headlines and he is absolutely putting all of his faith in the fact that the American people do not have the time to follow all of the twists and turns.”

The folks at CNN may be disappointed for a long time, as Trump’s approval keeps going up.

The Washington Examiner reports:

Trump approval at 51%, winning millennials, trusted more than Democrats on economy

President Trump has crossed the critical 50% approval line needed to win reelection as millennials and independents are moving to embrace him, according to a new survey.

The latest Zogby Poll put Trump’s approval rating at 51%, his highest ever in the trademarked survey.

Zogby Analytics pollster Jonathan Zogby said that the president is riding a booming economy and could be hard to beat should the nation’s economic health continue to improve.

His survey found that several groups that had been leaning against Trump were starting to favor him in large part because they have growing confidence in the economy and Trump’s handling of it. Notably millennials and independents have turned in his direction.

That’s great news for Trump but a disaster for the Democrats running against him for 2020.
