CNN’s Don Lemon is a liberal, we all know this and he makes very little effort to hide it. Even so, should he really be hosting CNN town hall events for 2020 Democratic candidates?
This week he was caught on a hot mic complimenting Cory Booker. That’s not being an event moderator, that’s being a cheerleader.
The Washington Free Beacon reports:
Lemon Heard on Hot Mic Telling Booker ‘Nice Job’ at Town Hall
CNN host Don Lemon could be heard telling Democratic presidential hopeful Cory Booker (N.J.) “nice job” as their town hall cut to commercial on Wednesday night.
Booker wrapped up an answer to a question about his opposition to the Electoral College and called for higher voter turnout, saying it made democracy better.
“Cynical Republicans are trying to make it harder and harder for people to vote, especially African Americans,” Booker said. “The cure for these anti-democratic problems is not to surrender to cynicism about the system. It’s to get up, get involved, get engaged, and let’s change it together.”
“I can see that you’re warmed up. You’ve been out on the campaign trail,” Lemon said, telling viewers they would be back with Booker after the break.
“Nice job. Nice job,” Lemon could be heard telling Booker as the camera panned away, shaking his hand.

During the same event, Booker also spread misinformation about guns and gun laws.
The Federalist reports:
Cory Booker Peddles False Gun Law ‘Loopholes’ During CNN Town Hall
During Wednesday night’s CNN town hall event, 2020 presidential hopeful Cory Booker indulged in a favorite pastime of Democratic politicians: spewing false and inaccurate information on gun laws.
When answering an audience member’s question on his plan to address gun misuse, Booker immediately turned to attacking the National Rifle Association and laws that are not actually found anywhere in federal law. Let’s look at the each of the gun “loopholes” Booker is so passionate about abolishing…
The claim that a wife-beater or someone convicted of a violent crime can purchase or possess a firearm is categorically false. The 1968 Gun Control Act prohibits anyone convicted of a felony or misdemeanor crime of domestic violence from possessing a firearm.
