CNN’s Jake Tapper is often presented as some sort of ‘down the middle’ reporter, but he’s a left wing liberal, like pretty much everyone else at the network. He even used to write for the far left site Salon.
So it’s hardly surprising that he would go on Stephen Colbert’s show and say something like this.
News Busters reports:
CNN’s Tapper: Critics of Russia Investigation Are ‘Unpatriotic’
The liberal media has decided that any opposition to Special Counsel Robert Mueller’s Russia investigation is “unpatriotic.” Appearing on Stephen Colbert’s The Late Show Thursday night, CNN anchor Jake Tapper claimed anyone who criticizes the investigation might as well have criticized an investigation into the attack on Pearl Harbor.
Colbert brought up Republicans like Rep. Mark Meadows and Rep. Jim Jordan, both of whom introduced articles of impeachment for Deputy Attorney General Rod Rosenstein, who has authority over Mueller. He claimed “there’s obviously a big move to undermine the Mueller investigation, and we see it all the time.” Tapper backed up his statement:
“Now, part of the investigation has to do with Donald Trump and whether or not anybody in his orbit cooperated but there was a larger investigation about what happened and how can we prevent it from happening again. A whole bunch of people in Washington were trying to prevent the investigation from going forward. Imagine how somebody tried to prevent the investigation in Pearl Harbor happened from going forward, you would say that person was not patriotic.”

How utterly predictable.
