Democratic Strategist Says The American People Have ‘Lost Confidence’ In Joe Biden

Joe Biden’s troubles are so serious that even Democrat insiders are admitting it.

Between inflation and gas prices, people are struggling. Add Biden’s foreign policy blunders to that and you have a recipe for disaster.

One Democrat strategist recently told the Hill that he is worried about a recession.

Democrat Strategist: U.S. Has ‘Lost Confidence’ in Joe Biden, ‘Heading into a Recession’

President Joe Biden is taking heat from his own party on Monday over fears that inflation will destroy Democrats’ majorities in the House and Senate.

Inflation, which has reached a 40-year-high, the worst in a generation, is costing American households on average an extra $5,200 in 2022, or $433 per month, according to Bloomberg.

“It’s bad,” a Democrat strategist told the Hill. “You have an energy crisis that’s paralyzing and inflation is at a 40-year high and we’re heading into a recession. The problem is simple. The American people have lost confidence in him.”

Biden has blamed the massive price hikes on Russian President Putin’s war in Ukraine. Biden’s administration has coined the terms “Putin’s price hike” and “Putin’s gas hike.” But those communication gimmicks have not improved America’s economic position or Biden’s approval rating. Polls show Biden’s average approval ratings are in the high thirties, a very low number heading into the midterm elections.

“For whatever reason, the messaging hasn’t gotten through,” an administration official acknowledged to the Hill. “At times it feels like we’re spinning our wheels.”

Democratic anxiety grows over Biden’s dismal polls

Democrats are growing increasingly worried about President Biden’s standing in the polls seven months out from the midterm elections.

Biden hasn’t seen a boost in his approval ratings amid Russia’s war in Ukraine despite support among Americans for the steps that he has taken.

While the economy continues to gain jobs and the unemployment rate is low, something Biden touted on Friday, inflation is at a 40-year high and gas prices are through the roof, exacerbated by the Russian invasion.

Democrats for months have feared they will lose the House majority this fall, and they are worried about losing the Senate, too, with polls showing Biden performing poorly in key states such as Arizona.

Biden’s presidency has been a disaster and no amount of spin will change that.

Now that Democrats are acknowledging the reality of this, things are going to get much tougher for him.
