During a recent interview on FOX News, California Republican Rep. Devin Nunes took Democrats and the media to task for their ridiculous denial about spying on the Trump campaign.
He also said that Mueller knew from the very beginning that the Trump campaign didn’t collude with Russia.
The Washington Examiner has details:
Devin Nunes: Mueller knew there was no evidence of Trump-Russia collusion on day one
Rep. Devin Nunes, R-Calif., went further than Attorney General William Barr to answer the question of when special counsel Robert Mueller knew there was no collusion between the Trump campaign and Russia.
In an interview that aired Friday on Fox News, Barr said he “couldn’t say.”
Appearing after Barr, Nunes, the ranking member of the House Intelligence Committee, was not so hesitant.
“Bob Mueller knew the day that he walked in the door there was no evidence of the Trump campaign colluding with Russians,” Nunes said, referring to the findings of the FBI’s counterintelligence that began in the summer of 2016. Mueller was appointed to lead the investigation into Russian interference in the presidential election in May 2017, eight days after President Trump fired former FBI Director James Comey.

Nunes is going after former FBI agents Strzok and Page as well.
FOX News reports:
Devin Nunes says Strzok-Page ‘insurance policy’ referred to obtaining FISA warrant for Trump campaign’s emails
U.S. Rep. Devin Nunes, R-Calif., claimed that an “insurance policy” mentioned in an August 2016 text between disgraced former FBI employees Peter Strzok and Lisa Page referred to their ability to obtain a FISA warrant.
“We believe that ‘insurance policy’ is not just about investigating the Trump campaign,” said Nunes, the ranking member of the House Intelligence Committee, during an appearance on Fox News’ “Hannity” on Tuesday night. “We believe it’s to ensure that they were able to get the FISA warrant on Carter Page so they could go in and look at the emails in the campaign.”…
Nunes told host Sean Hannity that the FBI was aware of the issues surrounding the accuracy of the dossier and even knew the dossier was actually just research for Hillary Clinton’s 2016 presidential campaign.
“These really were the perverted fantasies of [Fusion GPS Founder] Glenn Simpson working with the Clinton campaign to say ‘What can we draw up here that we can spread out lies to the American people, that we can feed into the FBI and – lo and behold – let’s get an investigation going into the Trump campaign.’ That’s really what happened here,” Nunes said.
The GOP could use a few more guys like Nunes.
