Diamond and Silk have put together a new video as a response to Congressman John Lewis for saying Trump isn’t a legitimate president elect.
They’re not happy but they kept it very respectful.
Diamond says:
“Hey y’all. So I’m sitting there minding my business, getting ready for the inaugural, trying on my dress and realized I ate a cupcake too many. OK? And now here something comes across my TV about Congressman John Lewis. On television. Delegitimizing our president elect. Soon to be the 45th President of the United States once he’s sworn in on January the 20th. He has a problem with him.”
“OK. Now. With all due respect to Congressman John Lewis. We know that you are a Civil Rights icon. You marched with Dr. Martin Luther King. You walked hand in hand with Senator Jeff Sessions, even though you threw him under the bus the other week. We know that you’ve done all these things and we respect that about you. But what you’ve got to understand is Obama has had eight years. The American people gave him eight years. And it’s sad that you won’t even give President Elect Trump eight minutes.”
