Rep. Jaoquin Castro released a list of Trump donors in his own district this week. He essentially doxxed his own constituents, a shocking and disgraceful act.
Can you guess who thinks this was a great idea? If you guessed far left Rep. Rashida Tlaib, you’re right.
The Blaze reports:
Far-left US Rep. Rashida Tlaib supports naming Trump donors: ‘The public needs to know who funds racism’
After Democratic U.S. Rep. Joaquin Castro tweeted the names and employers of donors to President Donald Trump and decried them for “fueling a campaign of hate,” Castro got support for his controversial actions from fellow Democratic U.S. Rep. Rashida Tlaib.
“Chairman Castro, they don’t like it when you name their donors,” the far-left Michigan congresswoman tweeted Tuesday. “The public needs to know who funds racism.”
What’s the background?
Castro — a Texas politician and identical twin brother of presidential hopeful Julian Castro — got plenty of heat for naming dozens of Trump donors from his own congressional district.
New York Magazine and HuffPost contributor Yashar Ali called Castro’s actions “awful” and a “terrible and dangerous precedent to set” — but Castro retorted that the information in his tweet is “publicly reported.”
House Minority Leader Kevin McCarthy (R-Calif.) also ripped Castro, saying that “targeting and harassing Americans because of their political beliefs is shameful and dangerous.”

On a related note, Castro’s little stunt backfired.
The Washington Examiner reports:
Six Trump donors Joaquin Castro tried to shame also gave to him and brother Julián
In attempting to embarrass constituents who donated to President Trump, Texas congressman Joaquin Castro appears to have overlooked the fact that six of those he named also gave cash to him and his twin brother, 2020 Democrat Julián Castro.
Joaquin Castro on Monday drew a torrent of criticism when the Twitter account operated by his reelection campaign listed 44 residents of San Antonio who donated the maximum amount to President Trump’s campaign for reelection so far this year.
“Sad to see so many San Antonians as 2019 maximum donors to Donald Trump — the owner of @BillMillerBarBQ, owner of the @HistoricPearl, realtor Phyllis Browning, etc.” the Monday tweet said. “Their contributions are fueling a campaign of hate that labels Hispanic immigrants as ‘invaders.'”
Castro tried to back-pedal on MSNBC:
Joaquin Castro is shamelessly defending the “target list” of @realDonaldTrump’s supporters that he tweeted.
Not only is Castro a sitting Dem Congressman, he’s the chair of Congressional Hispanic Caucus.
It’s dangerous, reckless and Nancy Pelosi needs to condemn it. pic.twitter.com/eIlDFcqvEA

Too late, the damage is done.
