The media claims to hate fake news but they seem to fall for it all the time. Former NFL coach Barry Switzer just punked the media with a story about joining the Trump administration.
The Hill reports:
Football coach says meeting with Trump was a prank
Former Dallas Cowboys coach Barry Switzer says his “meeting” with President-elect Donald Trump never happened.
According to Politico, Switzer was shopping with his family in New York City earlier this month when he passed by Trump Tower and decided to go in.
“All the media people said, ‘Coach what are you doing here?’ ” Switzer told Politico. “I told them I was here to see the president like everyone else.”
But Switzer only went upstairs, bought a coffee from Starbucks and came back down.
“I told the reporters I had a great visit, and that we were going to make the wishbone great again,” he said. “I told them I was going to be Secretary of Offense and that Trump knew how to run the ball down the field.
“Then I went back to my hotel and laughed my ass off.
