Tallahassee Mayor Andrew Gillum is the furthest left candidate for governor in Florida, so naturally Hollywood liberals just love him. He is also being backed by George Soros which should tell you everything you need to know.
Hollywood is currently injecting cash into his campaign. From California.
The Washington Free Beacon reports:
Hollywood Scripts Itself Into Florida Governor’s Race
Two of Hollywood’s most vocal liberals are inserting themselves into the Florida governor’s race with a fundraiser in California.
Alec Baldwin and Alyssa Milano were the marquee names Thursday night supporting Tallahassee Mayor Andrew Gillum, who calls himself the only “true progressive” in the race.
Baldwin is known for his impersonations of the 45th president on Saturday Night Live. Milano, a TV star dating back to her teenage days on Who’s the Boss?, has been vocal about political issues through her social media accounts, and was especially critical of the administration’s rollback of the so-called “net neutrality” rules last December.
With current Governor Rick Scott facing term limits, the open seat has created a crowded primary field in both the Democratic and Republican fields. The two most recent polls, one from Gravis Marketing and a second by Mason Dixon, both have Gillum third, but always within single digits of his opponents. Both polls also show huge percentages of voters still undecided in the Democratic primary, 63 and 49 percent, respectively.
Why do so many people who claim to be actors secretly want to be political activists?
