Rep. Eric Swalwell has allegedly been compromised by a female spy from China.
House Minority Leader Kevin McCarthy was briefed on this by the FBI and was so concerned afterwards that he wanted to remove Swalwell from the House Intelligence Committee.
Republicans tried to follow through with this, but the Democrats in the House squashed the effort.

House kills GOP bid to kick Swalwell off intel committee over past ties to suspected Chinese spy
House lawmakers voted Thursday to table a resolution introduced by House Minority Leader Kevin McCarthy that aimed to remove Democratic Rep. Eric Swalwell from the House Permanent Select Committee on Intelligence over his past ties to an alleged Chinese spy named Fang Fang.
The vote to reject the resolution calling for Swalwell’s removal was 218-200 along party lines. All House Democrats voted to table the measure, while three Republicans cast “present” votes. The move by Democratic leadership to set aside the resolution allowed members to avoid an up-or-down vote on whether to remove Swalwell from the committee.
House Majority Leader Steny Hoyer, D-Md., said McCarty’s push to remove Swalwell from the committee was a “frivolous, political exercise” and a bid to “distract from House Republican’s failure to hold their own members accountable for inappropriate and outrageous actions.”
“Our House Democratic Majority has been steadfast in opposing malign actions by China,” Hoyer said in a statement. “Spurious attempts, like this one today, by Republicans to obscure that fact will not change it. Americans are tired of hyper-partisanship and ‘gotcha’ gimmickry. Instead, let’s work together, in a bipartisan way, to achieve results for the people.”

Swalwell does not belong on the Intelligence Committee.
You are required to disclose relationships with foreign nationals in Section 19 of the SF-86 form for a security clearance in the private sector.
Given the nature of Swalwell's relationship with a reported Chinese spy, he wouldn't qualify. Why is he still on the Intel Committee? pic.twitter.com/zRjlf7j3E4

Every Democrat is now on the record: They just voted to keep Eric Swalwell on the House Intelligence Committee—despite his long-standing relationship with a reported Chinese spy.
They chose politics over national security.

Do you think Democrats would defend a member of Trump’s team who was accused of what Eric Swalwell is accused of doing?
Not a chance.
