Howard Dean Says Democrats Of His Generation Need To ‘Get The Hell Out Of Politics’

Former DNC chair Howard Dean recently said that Democrats of his generation need to get out of politics. He was obviously suggesting that they need to make room for a new generation of Democrat leaders. While Dean has a valid point, there is a problem with his suggestion. If every Democrat of his generation got out of politics, there wouldn’t be any Democrats left!

The Washington Examiner reports:

Howard Dean: Democrats of my generation should ‘get the hell out of politics’

Former Democratic National Committee chairman Howard Dean said Thursday his generation should “get the hell out of politics” ahead of the 2020 primary season.

“Start coaching and start moving up this next generation who are more I think are fiscally sane,” Dean told MSNBC, referring to older members of his party. “Neither Republicans or Democrats can claim they are fiscally responsible anymore.”

“This young generation is going to pay for that if we don’t get the hell out of the way and have somebody who is 50 running the country,” the former Vermont governor added.

If Democrats were to follow Dean’s advice, Elizabeth Warren would have to retire. So would Bill de Blasio and countless other Dems, many of whom are expected to run for president in 2020.

Do you really think they’re going to give up their power? No way.
