Podcaster Joe Rogan said he hopes people realize “serious errors were made” during the COVID-19 pandemic and that they should “vote Republican” to prevent it from happening again.

Rogan discussed the pandemic with NFL quarterback Aaron Rodgers on Saturday’s “The Joe Rogan Experience” podcast.

The two poked fun of California Democrat Gov. Gavin Newsom’s COVID policies before Rogan said: “I hope there are lessons learned in this.”

Rogan said:

“Vote Republican. That’s what a lot of them are going to do anyway. I mean more than a million people transferred over to the Republican party, I think in 2021. Find out what that number is. But you look at guys like Ron DeSantis who kept Floria open and had some pretty reasonable policies in terms of like what to do about COVID. He mapped it out on television, he was widely criticized for this”
