Kanye West’s recent positive comments about Trump may have actually affected his approval numbers with black men. It’s hard to argue with the numbers and the timing. This is fascinating.
The Daily Caller reports:
Reuters Poll: Black Male Approval For Trump Doubles In One Week
Black male support for President Donald Trump doubled in just one week, according to a Reuters poll on presidential approval.
A poll taken on April 22, 2018 had Trump’s approval rating among black men at 11 percent, while the same poll on April 29, 2018 pegged the approval rating at 22 percent. It should be noted that Reuters only sampled slightly under 200 black males each week and slightly under 3,000 people overall.
Trump experienced a similar jump in approval among black people overall, spiking from 8.9 percent on April 22 to 16.5 percent on April 29.
The Wrap has more:
The timing is noteworthy since the rapper began to go public with his pro-Trump views on April 21, first tweeting support for right-wing pundit Candace Own on April 21. Four days later, he proclaimed “love” for POTUS and his “dragon energy” — and posted a selfie in which he wore a MAGA hat…
Still, the news is evidence that West’s pro-Trump positions are raising eyebrows offline as well as on. On Thursday, Breitbart Editor-in-Chief Alex Marlow told TheWrap that he would be keen to sign on Yeezy as a columnist.
This must have Democrats very worried.
