This is absolutely outrageous.
Andrew Weismann, who served as a lead prosecutor on Robert Mueller’s special counsel is now going to headline a fundraiser for Joe Biden.
Can you say conflict of interests?
The New York Post reports:
Mueller’s Russia probe deputy to headline virtual Biden fundraiser
The former lead prosecutor on ex-special counsel Robert Mueller’s Russia team will head up a virtual fundraiser next week for Joe Biden’s presidential campaign, Fox News reported Thursday.
The Biden campaign said that Andrew Weissmann will headline the “virtual fireside chat” moderated by Anne Milgram — like Weissmann an NYU law professor and the former New Jersey attorney general — at 8 p.m. June 2.
The chat will take place on Zoom, and “guests who RSVP by making a contribution … will be sent instructions for how to join via Zoom,” according to the Biden Victory Fund’s invitation.
Weissmann, a longtime federal prosecutor first appointed by President George H.W. Bush and later promoted by President George W. Bush, also had inked a deal with Random House to write a book.
This is unreal.

This seems hugely inappropriate? https://t.co/vvzx3QFize

After all the insisting that the special counsel's investigation wasn't tainted by politics, one of the former top prosecutors is raising money for President Trump's opponent https://t.co/KdiDWaZnLl

To say this is inappropriate is a massive understatement.
