George Washington University law professor Jonathan Turley just flipped the Democrats’ impeachment narrative on its head.
Turley is a liberal and not a Trump supporter, but he sees what is really happening here.
FOX News reports:
Jonathan Turley tells lawmakers if they impeach Trump, ‘It’s your abuse of power’
Constitutional scholar and George Washington University law professor Jonathan Turley told lawmakers on Wednesday during the Trump impeachment inquiry hearing that it would be an abuse of their power to impeach President Trump.
Appearing before the House Judiciary Committee, Turley accused lawmakers of doing “precisely” what they’re condemning Trump for doing and urged the committee to respect the separation of powers during the process or risk abusing their positions.
“I can’t emphasize this enough and I’ll say it just one more time: If you impeach a president, if you make a high crime and misdemeanor out of going to the courts; it is an abuse of power,” Turley said. “It’s your abuse of power.”
“You’re doing precisely what you’re criticizing the president for doing. We have a third branch that deals with conflicts at the other two branches, and what comes out of there, what you do with it, is the very definition of legitimacy,” Turley added.

This outraged the left. An email has already been sent to the deans of his school calling for his removal.
Sara Carter reports:
Email Calls On GW Law Deans To Remove Prof. Turley After Hearing Testimony
The email speaks for itself calling Turley a ‘sad excuse of a man.’
The email opened, “I hope this message finds you all well, ladies and gentleman. Aside from Mr. Turley, of course.”
“I am writing you all after listening to Jonathan Turley’s disgraceful statement defending the corrupt and impeachable actions of President Trump at the House Judiciary impeachment hearing today. I know you all cringe inside knowing that you are affiliated in some way with Turley and have to work or study at the same institution in which he is employed,” the email read.
Turley was the Republican witness at Wednesday’s hearing. He made clear in his testimony, however, that he never was a Trump supporter.”By no means should he be considered a Republican. If anything, his legal and political philosophies entertain the more Liberal stance,” a former student of Turley’s told this reporter.
“He is defending the indefensible and I hope that all of the Deans at GWU Law and the students will recognize that he is not serving in the best interest of our country and is a detriment to the success of your school’s future reputation. His actions today were spineless and shameful. He is clearly a lackey for the Trump Administration,” the email says.
The email’s writer concludes, “I trust you will act appropriately and reprimand this sad excuse of a man.”
The far left has become completely unhinged.
Anyone who stand in their way will be targeted for destruction.
