Leftists Continue Pushing Lie That ‘Trump Wants Racial Profiling’

Leftists Jump On "Trump Wants Racial Profiling" Lie En Mass

The next Trump bashing narrative for the news cycle is … Trump wants racial profiling. And the lefty loons are jumping on it like fresh meat.

The Hill  gets it right and reports on CNN falsely proclaiming Trumps advocates profiling.

CNN added the word “racial” to Donald Trump’s Monday comments on terrorism and immigration and is running headlines reporting that the GOP presidential nominee spoke of using “racial profiling” to stop terrorism.

But a review of the transcript of Trump’s comments to Fox News that CNN quoted shows that Trump never used the word “racial” in his comments to the network and only spoke of “profiling.”

…. In a later interview with Bill O’Reilly, Trump also expressed a need to profile in the manner Israel does, but again didn’t use the word “racial.” When pressed by O’Reilly how the profiling would work, Trump wouldn’t elaborate.

However, that didn’t stop Whoopi Goldberg, from jumping on anti-Trump train… Newsbusters reported:

Tuesday’s The View began with host Whoopi Goldberg repeated the lie CNN appeared to start that Trump called for racial profiling. The panel then spent the first quarter of the show debating the validity of racial profiling. As usual, liberal co-hosts Whoopi and Joy Behar frequently took the topic at hand to absurdity, with Whoopi comparing it to civil rights in the ‘50s/’60s, claiming America would never again face another 9/11, and asking, if we should “start profiling all the white people” because of “all the domestic terrorism.”

Whoopi began the discussion by stating, “Donald says that this is the time to start racially profiling.”

And then the Washington Post twisted the narrative. Not surprising. They’ve had lots of examples to follow.

Is Donald Trump for racial profiling or not? According to him, the answer to that question is: Yes.

In response to the terrorist attacks on U.S. soil over the weekend, Trump has re-upped his call for profiling of potential terrorists. And while he and his campaign clarified Tuesday night that he’s not saying “racial” profiling or profiling of Muslims, that is clearly in effect what he is calling for.

First, the denials.

“I never said the term Muslim,” Trump protested Monday night when Bill O’Reilly accusing him of calling for profiling of Muslims. “You did. You told me Muslims. I didn’t say that. I am saying you’re going to profile people that maybe look suspicious. I didn’t say they were Muslims.”

Top Trump spokesman Jason Miller also pointed to an inaccurate CNN chyron that said Trump had called for “racial profiling.”

Sure enough, Trump never specifically called for “racial” profiling or “Muslim” profiling Monday. But his intent was clear both then and previously.

Mother Jones ran this headline and story to gin up the ‘racial’ profiling.

Trump’s Response to the New York Bombing: Racial Profiling on a Mass Scale

And New York Mag chimed in with this.

Two days after a homemade bomb wounded 29 in lower Manhattan, the Republican presidential nominee decried Muslim refugees as a “cancer from within” and suggested that American law enforcement should racially profile Arab men, as they do in Israel (where many such men live under military occupation).

And again the left steps in to protect is failing candidate. Again we’re talking petty issues and not discussing the things that will really save America.
