LIBERALS TRIGGERED By Billboard Advertisement Which Jokes About Throwing ‘Rocks’ At Women

Here’s to betting your mom and dad told you not to beat up on girls. And it’s also a good bet you, at some point in your life, learned that most women love bling. And when that bling comes in the form of precious or semi-precious stones, well, get out of the way, because there is no end to the stampede of women who appreciate those rocks, big and not so big.

A brilliant small business in Asheville, North Carolina, Spicer Greene Jewelers, came up with a very clever ad campaign that is now the target of the left’s vitriol, including that of the former first daughter, Chelsea.

We begin with this comment from The Blaze:

There was a bit of a stir in downtown Asheville, N.C., over the weekend — and it all stemmed from a billboard that declares, “Sometimes it’s OK to throw rocks at girls.”

… Well, as is often the case in circumstances like these, there’s a bit more to this story.

See, the billboard is from Spicer-Greene Jewelers. And surrounding the apparently antagonistic message on the billboard are gemstones.

But back to absurdity.

Yes, leftist ire escalated and yes, there was a protest and yes, Spicer Greene issued an apology.

Here it is, from their Facebook page:

To whom we have offended with our recent billboard, please accept our apologies. We do not condone violence of any kind toward any being. We are humble enough to realize when we make a mistake and humble enough to realize the context in which we are speaking. We did not intend to cause controversy and our billboard communicated something we did not intend. We intended the billboard as a play on words to encourage the loving act of gift giving and are deeply saddened that it offended anyone.

Diamonds truly are a girl’s best friend. And there certainly is no need to apologize for showering a girl with those rocks. Too bad the liberal left is too stupid to figure that one out.
