Off Duty Officer Shoots/Kills Potential ISIS Terrorist In Minnesota Mall

During the same weekend that two bombs were found and/or exploded in New York City, and one in New Jersey, nine people were stabbed by a man with possible ties to ISIS.

The man was shot by an off duty police officer before he had the chance to injure or kill any other victims.

CNN reported:

The FBI is calling the attack “a potential act of terrorism.”

The mayor and police chief also praised off-duty Avon police officer Jason Falconer for killing the suspect as the assailant threatened other people in the mall attack.

“He clearly prevented additional injuries and potentially loss of life,” Mayor Dave Kleis said.

The mall remains closed Sunday and will reopen Monday.

… The man who stabbed at least eight people at a Minnesota mall Saturday before being shot dead by an off-duty police officer was a “soldier of the Islamic state,” according to an ISIS-linked news agency.

The statement posted online Sunday by the Amaq agency follows a pattern of ISIS-related media claiming responsibility for what appear to be the acts of individuals across Europe in the past few months.

… Police and witnesses said the man, wearing a private security company uniform, entered Crossroads Mall on Saturday night around 8 p.m. ET, made a reference to Allah and asked at least one person if they were Muslim before he attacked.

… “The individual we believe to be responsible for the victim’s stab wounds is currently deceased inside the mall,” police said early Sunday.

Busy weekend for terror attacks in the United States. Just sayin’.
