Yes, another Hollywood elitist, this time Stephen King, uses crass language to blast the GOP in a completely unprovoked and very public attack.
In a tragic turn of events, a man lost his life as a train carrying GOP representatives on their way to a retreat, struck his truck. Sadly, Stephen King was so intent on dissing the GOP, he made a very unfortunate statement on Twitter.
Stephen King claimed this week’s fatal train crash, which was carrying Republican congressmen and killed one person, was “karma” in a post on Twitter, Thursday.
“A trainload of Republicans on their way to a pricey retreat hit a garbage truck. My friend Russ calls that karma,” King declared, receiving over 6,000 likes.

Classy, right? Well, he must have thought better of his behavior because he started to walk it back almost as soon as he published his first tweet.
FOX News captures all the twitter second thoughts:
King’s tweet immediately received backlash from people that thought the “It” scribe was being entirely too flippant about an event that saw one person die. Piers Morgan was among the first to respond.
“A man died in that crash, you despicable man,” he wrote.
Soon after posting his initial tweet, King posted a follow up.
Of COURSE sorry the truck driver died.

However, that didn’t satiate his angry fans, prompting an apology in which he regrets being “thoughtless” with regards to the victim, but maintained that his distaste for the GOP is not, in his eyes, unfounded.
A rather thoughtless tweet from me concerning the train-truck crash, for which I apologize (if one is necessary). It should be pointed out, too, that those Republican politicians, who can be heartless when they vote, immediately got out to help.

Here’s some of the backlash:
Was it karma when that van hit you?

My friend Gander defines irony as a liberal–not paying attention to what's going on in the world–is struck by a van while wandering around.

Again, the left shows just how classy and compassionate they are.
