Eat Your Heart Out Colin Kaepernick: All Players Stood During The National Anthem At The Super Bowl (VIDEO)

Pink did the honors at this year’s Super Bowl. And while she sang, the camera panned to the players. No one, was kneeling. A few looked like they were praying. A few looked like they had patriotic passion in their eyes, but no one was kneeling.

While the 2017-18 NFL season has been defined by continuous national anthem protests in the name of police brutality, players for the New England Patriots and Philadelphia Eagles at Super Bowl LII opted to not knee during the pregame tradition.

The protest — which started with former San Francisco 49ers quarterback Colin Kaepernick taking a knee last season — has been a trend among a number of Philadelphia players throughout the season, but even those team members remained unchanged as pop singer P!NK belted out the Star Spangled Banner. 

It looks like Black Lives Matter and Colin Kaepernick are just going to have to find a different strategy to disrespect our National Anthem. Maybe the president’s suggestions during his SOTU, to stand during the National Anthem made an impact. Regardless, it’s great to see America get the respect it deserves.

Tough luck, Colin.
