Mark Wahlberg is one of the good guys in Hollywood.
In recent movies, he’s played heroes.
Wahlberg played Marcus Luttrell (Lone Survivor), Mike Williams (Deepwater Horizon), and now a Boston policeman in Patriots Day.
During a recent interview, Wahlberg was asked how playing these heroes has changed him.
Watch his response:
Incredible answer. @Mark_Wahlberg tells me how playing heroes changed his life. @foxandfriends @MarcusLuttrell

From the video:
Mark Wahlberg: “Especially if you look at Marcus [Luttrell of Lone Survivor fame] – I just talked to Marcus the other day – we talk quite often. Mike [Williams of Deepwater Horizon] – God, the amount of love he has for his wife and his daughter . . . They make me want to be a better person. A better father, husband.”
Good for him!
Wahlberg also recently said that celebrities should shut up about politics. Celebrities don’t understand real life, and “a lot of Hollywood is living in a bubble.”
He’s right!
