Mike Huckabee says Mitt Romney has disqualified himself from serving in the Trump administration by bashing Trump during the campaign. He has a valid point.
He offered his opinion yesterday on FOX News:
Huckabee: Romney Disqualified Himself from Cabinet By Bashing Trump
Former Arkansas Gov. Mike Huckabee voiced his concerns about a possible ‘Secretary of State Mitt Romney’, saying that the former Massachusetts governor and 2012 Republican presidential nominee effectively disqualified himself from serious contention by routinely bashing the president-elect.
“It’s about the fact that Mitt Romney didn’t just disagree with [President-elect] Donald Trump, he went after him in a way that was unprecedented for someone that was the [former] nominee,” Huckabee told Howard Kurtz.
Romney has called Trump a “fraud”, “phony”, a “con man”, and a “failed business guy”, over the past two years, according to Huckabee.
He questioned why Romney would want to work for a president for whom he held such contempt during the campaign.

Lots of Trump supporters agree with Huckabee on this point.
Romney has been gracious in recent weeks but that doesn’t change the awful things he said about Trump months ago.
