Obama Planning to Turn Over Control of the Internet to the United Nations

Liberals like Obama have this bizarre notion that the United Nations is more trustworthy and fair than the United States of America. That’s why Obama is comfortable with the idea of the UN having control of the internet.

Moonbattery reported:

Obama Is Turning Over Control of Internet to United Nations

From the beginning, Obama has been all about advancing social justice by taking the USA down a few pegs. It looks like he will accomplish this in part by giving away control of the Internet to the corrupt, incompetent, anti-American cabal of tyrannical regimes known as the United Nations. This will mean two things: censorship and taxes.

Once the Internet Corporation for Assigned Names and Numbers (ICANN) is under the control of the UN International Telecommunications Unit,

Russia and China would have an easier time in censoring speech that is not to their liking. For instance, Republican Senators Ted Cruz (TX), Mike Lee (UT) and James Lankford (OK) wrote in a letter that they discovered “that ICANN’s Beijing office is actually located within the same building as the Cyberspace Administration of China, which is the central agency within the Chinese government’s censorship regime” and that U.S. companies are folding to China’s mandates for censorship.

Even more chilling is the fact that ITU had passed a treaty that provided “authority to governments to close off their citizens’ access to the global Internet” and creating “a digital Iron Curtain,” according to The Wall Street Journal. If ICANN becomes a part of the U.N., then they too will be subject to this treaty.

Obama and the left just won’t be satisfied until they’ve completely destroyed the freedoms all Americans enjoy under the U.S. Constitution.
