Ohio Republican Rep. Anthony Gonzalez has been censured and is now under pressure to resign from his own party.
Gonzalez was one of the few Republicans who voted to impeach Trump in the most recent attempt.
The GOP is cleaning house. Gonzalez is coming under the same scrutiny as Liz Cheney.
Just The News reports:
Ohio GOP censures Rep. Gonzalez, demands his resignation over vote to impeach Trump
The Republican Party of Ohio on Friday both censured and called for the resignation of Ohio Rep. Anthony Gonzalez due to his vote to impeach former President Donald Trump earlier this year in connection with the Jan. 6 Capitol riot.
The resignation resolution from the Ohio Republican Party Central Committee, which repeatedly misspells the representative’s name as “Gonzales,” claims that “at best” Gonzalez “relied on his emotions rather than the will of his constituents” when casting a vote in favor of impeaching Trump, while “at worst” he “demonstrated a hidden vendetta” against the president “in direct conflict of the will of the constituents that elected him.”
“We believe that Congressman Gonzalez knowingly and wilfully violated his oath of office,” the resolution says further, arguing that “the decision to side with Democrats” on the impeachment matter “severed the confidence” of the Ohio Republican Party.
This needs to happen. Republican voters are tired of being betrayed by members of their own party.

Democrats and the media are defending Gonzalez. Doesn’t that explain everything?
