As the riots at the hands of far left thugs have unfolded this week, many Democrat leaders have been curiously silent.
Not in Atlanta, however.
The city’s Democrat Mayor Keisha Lance Bottoms called out the far left agitators and told them to get out of the city and go home.
Good for her.
WATCH: Atlanta Mayor Keisha Lance Bottoms’ Passionate Plea for People to Stop Rioting
Atlanta Mayor Keisha Lance Bottoms had a passionate plea for those in her city late Friday evening: go home and stop causing destruction in the name of George Floyd. The Democratic mayor explained that she is the mother of four black sons and continually worries about their safety, but rioting won’t change things.
“You’re not going to out concern me and out care where we are in America. I wear this each and every day and I pray over my children each and every day so what I see happening on the streets of Atlanta is not Atlanta. This is not a protest. This is not in the spirit of Martin Luther King Jr. This is chaos. A protest has a purpose,” she explained.
When Dr. King was assassinated we didn’t do this to our city. So, if you love this city, this city that has had a legacy of black mayors and black police chiefs, and people who care about this city where more than 50 percent of the business owners in Metro Atlanta are minority business owners, if you care about this city, then go home.”

Why is it so hard for other Democrat leaders to understand this?
Mayor Bottoms nailed it.
