Joe Biden and Democrats have a serious problem for the 2024 election.
Independent voters have already soured on Biden.
In political media, the focus is typically on the right and the left, but it is independent voters, the people who lie somewhere in the middle, who typically decide elections.
Breitbart News reports:
Poll: 67 Percent of Independent Voters Say Joe Biden Should Not Seek Reelection
Sixty-seven percent of independent registered voters believe President Joe Biden should not seek reelection in 2024, a Wednesday Politico/Morning Consult poll revealed.
As Washington, DC, insiders wait to see if Biden will make good on his promise to run for reelection amid 40 year-high inflation and the border crisis, a vast majority of independents do not support the president for a second term, Politico Playbook reported.
Overall, the poll found that 58 percent of registered voters oppose a Biden reelection campaign, while 34 wanted Biden to run for reelection.
Sixty-one percent of respondents also said the nation is on the wrong track. Just 39 percent of Americans believe it is headed in the correct direction.
The poor polling for Biden among swing voters comes as other Democrats are angling to enter the 2024 campaign.
This is confirmed in multiple polls, actually.

Meanwhile, Trump is doing better with independents.
CNS News reports:
More Independent Voters Want Trump on the 2024 Ballot Than Want Biden to Run for Reelection
While a majority of Democrat voters want Pres. Joe Biden to run for reelection and most Republican voters want former Pres. Donald Trump to run in 2024, more Independent voters would rather see Trump than Biden on the ballot, a new Politico-Morning poll finds.
The national survey of 1,998 registered voters, conducted December 11-13, posed two separate questions, one asking if they believe Biden should run and the other if they think Trump should run.
Fully 70% of Republicans say, yes, Trump should run, including 49% saying he should “definitely” run. A smaller percentage of Democrats (63%) say Biden should run again, with 35% saying he should definitely do so.
However, just 31% of Independent voters think Trump should run again, and an even smaller percentage (23%) believe Biden should seek reelection. Conversely, a higher percentage of Independents don’t think Biden should run (67%) than believe Trump should stay out of the race (59%).
Could we actually end up with another Trump vs. Biden election in 2024? Yes.
