Poll: Trump-Backed J.D. Vance Leading In Key Senate Race

A new poll from the Trafalgar Group found that Trump-backed Ohio Senate candidate J.D. Vance is leading against his Democrat challenger Tim Ryan by 5 points.

Another recent poll showed Vance leading by three points.

An Emerson College poll released last week found that Vance led Ryan by three points; the Emerson College poll was the first survey on the Senate race to be released after the FBI led an unprecedented raid on former President Donald Trump’s home at Mar-a-Lago.

Back in April, Trump endorsed Vance saying he was “the candidate most qualified and ready to win in November.”

Former President Donald Trump officially endorsed “Hillbilly Elegy” author J.D. Vance on Friday in Ohio’s crowded Senate Republican primary, calling him “the candidate most qualified and ready to win in November.”

“I’ve studied this race closely and I think J.D. is the most likely to take out the weak, but dangerous, Democrat opponent — dangerous because they will have so much money to spend. However, J.D. will destroy him in the debates and will fight for the MAGA Movement in the Senate,” Trump said in a statement, referring to Rep. Tim Ryan, D-Ohio.
