Today in Brussels, eternal capital of secular modernity, President Trump called on all the countries in the NATO alliance to pay their fair share to provide for the common defense of Europe. In the wake of the recent terror attacks in Europe, the President and Secretary of State Tillerson have called for NATO to join the coalition to defeat ISIS.
The Daily Caller reports:
Echoing rhetoric he used on the campaign trail, Trump said other countries must contribute their “fair share” to NATO in order to more effectively combat threats.
“Twenty-three of the 28 member nations are still not paying what they should be paying,” Trump said. “They’re supposed to be paying for their defense. This is not fair to the people and taxpayers of the United States.”
“If all NATO members had spent just two percent of their GDP on defense last year we would have had another $119 billion for our collective defense and for the financing of additional NATO reserves,” he continued while some leaders awkwardly looked at each other and laughed uncomfortably.

Unfortunately, it seems that the United States European allies are uninterested in actually meeting those targets. Furthermore, despite a terror attack once every NINE DAYS in Europe this year, France and Germany only just recently agreed to allow NATO to join the coalition against ISIS. No wonder Trump thinks the alliance is obsolete!
